If you were to lose one of your senses, which sense would it be and why?! Also, which of your senses is the most valuable to you?!

All the senses are very important to me, in an indescribable way. I would hate to lose one. I would choose scent, I guess, but I would still miss it. There are some smells that I just absolutely love.

I also would lose sense, I would hate it, though. I'm a "foodie" aka someone who likes to eat (and cook in my case), and smelling is a big part of food, but it is still the least important sense.
I would have to say that touch is an under appreciated sense.
My fav sense would have to be hearing, although seeing is more necessary to act naturally in this ever so visual world. I can't decide between the two for my fav.

I was actually thinking about it, and I don't know if I could give up scent. Scents are a big trigger for emotions and memories and stuff for me. I don't know which I would give up instead, though. Maybe taste?! The other three are kind of important just for daily living and such.

I'm thinking that I would sacrifice taste. It would, of course, be very difficult. Smell plays a huge roll in taste, so removing that would considerably decrease my ability to taste. Although, I don't know if this discussion considers that, or if it's implied that you retain the full aspect of taste despite the loss of smell. ~_~

I'd would give up touch.... But then does that mean my entire body goes numb and i can't feel pleasure or what?! My sense of smell is my strongest sense, and hearing is my weakest- i couldn't stand to give up either. So in short, i pick 'none' and this question made me appreciate how much we rely on all of these.

I would pick taste. in this ever growing world, food is becoming bland, and factories are making smells not that great. so with taste gone, all my senses would pretty much be the same as they are now.

I'd think you'd have chosen smell, what with me farting and all.

Taste would go because most of what we consider taste is really smell, so taste does bugger all. Also, judging by my wardrobe, I have almost no taste anyway. "THE SENSE I LACK IS COMMON SENSE!"

Most important sense is sight. How can I go on the computer or write my web comic if I cant see it?! "THAT WOULD BLOW!"

We discussed the double sacrifice factor when losing smell. And although I'm already practically blind, I rely way too much on my vision to give it up.

I'd have to say touch. Without it, I couldn't feel pain, so that's a plus. Sure, I'd lose certain feelings, but then the same problem exists with all other senses.
