Small note: A hardcore anime fan isn't someone who watches adult swim constantly and buys that FMA shirt at hot topic- It's the person that you don't see in the light of day because he/she is watching anime on the many trilobytes from the computer. Has imported anime wallscrolls COVERING the room. Watches the stuff in japanese the second it comes out in japan. Has no friends irl and just makes this stuff his living.
So what do you think of this postquote?!(not me btw)
I'm not even that hardcore an anime fan, but this totally hit me as true.

That's hillarious. and if someone was trying to say they're fat because of anime, well then. they suck at life, cause i'm only chubby.

I wouldn't say that "typically" that is the reason for becoming fat, but I will tell you that the biggest anime fan I know is batshit insane and very obese. Just like anything, anime should be used in moderation.

I like the last line. "then you're no better than a furry."
I actually have a so-so social life, simply because I started school too late to meet anyone here, so my social life was severely hampered. Also, I'm not fat, I'm underweight about 15 pounds and have approximately 5-10% body fat.
I may not be too hardcore of an anime freak, but I'm definately pretty big into it.

I've met my fair share of people who lock themselves in rooms and do nothing but watch anime and play games, and the ratio of body types was actually pretty ballanced. Some of them were even skinny as fragtastic. Now don't get me wrong, there were fatties among them as well, but those weren't nearly as prominent as the person quoted seems to believe.

Also, I'm not fat, I'm underweight about 15 pounds and have approximately 5-10% body fat. Watch out. Young men in their teens-twenties usually have very high metabolism, but lose that around the time that they reach their thirties, and it's kind of a shock so many of them start getting chubby.

Thanks for the warning, Hippievan. I'm pretty wary about that sort of thing. I try to eat little, in order to keep my stomach contracted, and I'm trying to attain the habit of only eating when I'm hungry, as opposed to when the opportunity to eat arises. Also, I'm trying to keep as active as possible, which should keep my metabolism moving for a longer amount of time. I am cautious, though.

That's good. I'm definitely not cautious. I eat whatever I want(although it's mostly health food in my house), whenever I want, and I'm pretty lazy. I do swim and play badminton, but that's about it. I'm vegetarian, so I think maybe that helps me keep my girlish figure. The funny thing is, though, I feel like I eat a pretty normal amount, but one time when we had to enter in a computer program all the things we had eaten in the previous day for cooking class, the stupid thing thought I was dieting.

I actually kept a food diary for about a week to see how much fat, saturated fat, sugar, carbohydrates, calories, and protein I was getting each day. About two days, I had about the maximum a normal person should have. The other two days I had about one third of what the average person should have. The last day, I don't remember.
Occasionally I'll go a day without eating. It's terrible for my metabolism, though.

Not because I don't want to eat, but because I have the house to myself and I completely forget sometimes, until late afternoon when I realize I'm hungry. I have a really bad memory.

I only get that way if I don't eat breakfast. Breakfast is actually the most important meal of the day because without it, your metabolism becomes torpid throughout the rest of the day and you don't digest food as quickly or efficiently. So, if I don't have breakfast within the first hour that I wake up (that's about the limit time of effectiveness), I just don't eat until the next day.
