I was thinking about watching them. What do you think, if you've seen any of them, that is.
Would you recommend them, or recommend that I stay away from them?!

Ghost in the Shell was great, imo, besides it's a classic for the genre. You should watch it so you'll at least be able to say you've seen it.

Ghost in the Shell is actually one that I've been wanting to watch for years, but just haven't gotten to doing so. I saw one of the movies, but I need to watch the anime. First, however, I need to find it.

Ghost in the shell was great... you must watch the movie (all of them are good) and both years of the series.. I command you! Azumanga was crazy funny and highly recommended. Okay, it might play better for teenagers but I enjoyed it completely. OSAKA! Battle Angel Alita.. excellent, recommended, the Manga is very moving as well... if you like reading, of course. Love Hina.. cute characters, risky humor. Your call. Murder Princess, I enjoy the Manga but haven't seen it. Noir... Good, worth seeing Paranoia Agent, Dude, you should watch this today... one of my favorites Trinity Blood, recommended but, now can I say this.. hmmm, its one of those (many) animes that have a questionable ending.. you are warned. Wolf's Rain, Another must see... Although don't expect to understand it! Also...Akira, of course, FLCL (!!!!), Mushi Shi (mellow fun), Witch Hunter Robin, Blood the movie and Blood+ the series (slow going but interesting),. What have you watched and enjoyed, maybe I can give you some other options. I noticed you didn't list any mecha anime... I know of tons of crappy mecha, if you wanta know (and a few good)

:O
Very helpful!
I never really think of mecha anime. It's not that I don't like it, it's just not one of those that comes to mind.

Well, everyone loves Cowboy Bebop! Otherwise, they don't deserve any tv or computer time. >: /
I've watched all of the episodes and have the movie. I don't know about Yoko Kanno, though.

Gantz is really awesome, I highly recommend it!
I have only seen a few noir but it was really cool.
I have seen a few Trinity Blood as well and also highly recommend this.

I've actually been reading Gantz and it is quite incredible. There's violence and sex, though, so it isn't well suited for younger audiences.

Paranoia Agent is confusing and weird as hell. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Yay! I'm a fan of Satoshi Kon.
It's coming up on almost a year and I still haven't watched any of these...
