With the exception of my pointing friend, I just don't like it much.
Yeah, I know this will make you all hate me, but I don't let that intimidate me....mainly because none of you can see me!
But I want to give Anime a fair chance and present the arguments for and against in a balanced way so we can all consider the various pros and cons.
For this purpose I have formed a list of the key arguments both for and against Anime, which should allow us to fully explore this issue in a mature and scientific manner.
The three key points are as follows-
1) All the characters look the same. You can only tell them apart by hair colour. Most of the time the only way you can tell whose female and who is male is if they get their kit off, and then its boarder line in a few cases! And I dont just mean everyone in each show looks the same...they look the same in every freaking show!
What is the point of making so many animated shows and then making everyone look identical.
2) I am sick of bloody tournaments that don't make any sense! They always have to gather power/monster/cards/ special moves/ some other bollocks so they can take part in a tournament against a string of wierd opponents.
These opponents usually cheat and break all the rules of the tournament (as does the hero) but the hero beats most of them, usually using some sort of arcane logic that seems to be an attempt at a completely meaningless moral (see reason 3)
The contest usually ends up sounds like a manhood measuring contest ("I've increased my power level by a whole 3 inches!") and never EVER resolves. The final round of the tournament is ALWAYS interrupted, rendering everything that happened meaningless, or at the very least the end of the tournament just leads to another even bigger tournament, rendering the first one meaningless.
3)Anime shows teach me nothing! Utter nonsense like "love your pokemon" is presented as some sort of twisted moral at the end of the episode!
For example, I've learn from anime that-
"Increasing your power level is good, but do it too much and you lose speed"
"A ninja without ninjitsu and just jujitsu cannot beat a man with a bucket of sand"
"if you play card games with your eyes closed you win more"
"Only an idiot would reflex his opponents giant black dragon back at him so it eats the opponents, because obviously that would cause the opponents to reappear and become indestructible"
Great morals! cant wait to apply them in real life!
Is life in Japan just so strange that these sort of lessons prove useful to people?!
So after looking at these three key points, it is clear Anime blows.
Right, thats my work here done, what topic shall I discuss next?!
"I WISH I WASN'T ANIME!"
