I just got home from this movie. It was amazing. I'm a comic book geek, and I can't even describe how spectacular this movie was to me. All the hype about the joker and everything was true. I'm so glad that I'm finally brave enough to sit through movies like this. I've always loved the joker as a villain. Before the comics code or whatever ruined him, I mean. The fact that he's so disturbed, and has no motive for his deeds except for a love of anarchy just makes him so cool. He's a villain who can't be reasoned with, or changed. Heath Ledger did an awesome job of portraying him.

Fufufufufufufufufu... I thought the movie was incredible. I wasn't expecting much other than Heath Ledger's exraordinary performance. I found the movie to be a lot of fun and darker than I thought it would be. And of course, Ledger stole the movie.
The things that bothered me (my mother, too) was that the movie really wasn't as much about Batman as it was about the Joker. The Joker stole the movie and was the pith of the film. The other thing was that they didn't show enough of a deep relationship between the Joker and Batman. Their rivalry was much more intimate than what was portrayed in the movie. Also, which kind of contributed to that, was that neither Batman, nor the Joker, had a completely defined character. The Joker was a psycotic, sardonic, genious who was bent on nefarious derailment of humanity, but he had so much more story that should have been conveyed.
Nonetheless, I loved the movie and will probably see it again.

Also because Batman's voice bothers me. I agree with the intimacy thing, and that Batman should have had a more defined character, but the fact that the Joker's past and everything are sketchy at best is a big part of him. I liked how he told two(almost three) different stories on how he got his scars. I might go see it again tonight.

The Joker reminded me of Tyler Durdan from Fight Club. Minus the socialist message.
Loved the movie. A LOT.

I went and saw it again! It's even better the second time! Especially because I went with both a girl and a guy this time, so afterwards we talked both about how awesome it is when the batmobile turns into a motorcycle and how attractive the joker is. The other girl and I didn't tell our guy friend that we had already seen it, so he kept making predictions during the movie and I would be like, "No, I think this will happen," and he thought it was amazing how I kept getting it all right.

My dad wants to see it so I'll probably go see it a third time soon! At what point does this become obsessive, I wonder?!

I'm not sure why, but in the movie, Rachel reminded me a little of Hippie Van. Soooo, when she exploded, I was thinking " oh noooo! Hippie Van! Why?!! That fragtasticing Joker is gonna pay! D:<" and then I got sad and cried...
